Starting a medication to augment my antidepressant(s) later this week.

Made an appointment today with my therapist for next week after avoiding her for the last couple months.

I also mentioned to her about failing to get clarity about something from a doctor and started getting worked up (which is uncommon for me to do with her) because it seemed like she was kind of dismissing me - to which she further dismissed me as we got off the phone.

Then she emailed me saying she got me a psychiatrist appointment for September, when usually with mine it be about a year wait, so I was appreciative that it was just me she was dismissing rather than my issues.
I'm going to want my shrink to switch me to something other than lithium, I think.

I can't understand social and conversational cues from over the phone; it's disorienting and really ineffective for me to do important interactions that way.

I'm going to have to make sure I talk calmly and normal paced with her, so I don't cause myself to be misinterpreted.
I hope I'm not too "off" mentally when I talk to her - I hate it when that happens.

Had my disciplinary meeting today and got found not guilty of all accusations brought against me.

Congrats Manners.

I'm feeling like this worlds perception is completely off. I can't believe what is happening due to COVID and how people abuse their power.

I honestly hate hypocrisy in every shape and form.

Zdzisław Beksiński has been my all time favorite artist (closely followed by surrealists like Jacek Yerka, H.R. Giger, De Es Schwertberger, etc.) since I was about 12 years old.

I recently discovered artists, Vergvoktre and Lewandowski, are quite similar in style to Beksiński.

It's kind of nice to have more to discover in a belovedly similar style, but it also slightly takes away from the "magic" of his art.

Also, I feel like I would have been diagnosed with oppositional defiance disorder when I was a kid if it had been thrown around like it is these days

Monks are cool. If reincarnation is a thing, I wouldn't mind coming back as someone who will one day become a monk

I'm the same. It's not mean though, rather an invitation to playfulness: I always hope for a clever comeback. Something challenging at least.

Most people can't do that properly though, and they turn to passive-aggression.

Yeah and if you're stuck with people who don't take it as playfulness then you may as well just not bother.

True

Though I love making doughnuts, and I do make all of them from scratch, the job is very monotonous. It's the same thing, every single night, in the same exact order. Thank god they put me back down to five days a week instead of six. The money was nice, nothing else about it was. At least the store's radio was broken so I could listen to my headphones in peace.

Speaking of headphones, I stopped taking my expensive as hell Bluetooth ones in and bought a cheaper pair with that overtime money. The cheaper pair is better.

People who Love, whether it is family, relationship, friends, the human race, animals etc... are always going to feel pain. The pain experienced by a mother for her kids in pain ( physical, mental, emotional etc. ) is an example of how their pain becomes your pain. Their death or your death = pain. And yet religions, society, spiritual teachings, art, literature, music and other spheres, all promote Love as being the key element to living a fulfilling, worthwhile and meaningful life. Are we deluding ourselves?
