Hello and welcome to the forum.
I think that the experiences you describe are common to most schizoids.
I also found that life suddenly made a lot more sense after my diagnosis. It was at that point that I realised that the way I experienced the world was different from the norm. Previously I had assumed that everyone struggled to be around other people but somehow they coped with the stress better than I did. It never occured to me that I was different until I was diagnosed as schizoid.

Hi there. I did realise that I'm different but for many years I didn't want to be different. I fought to be normal, but eventually I had to concede the point. I said to myself "perhaps it's okay to be different", and BAM, my life changed that very day.

Hello and welcome. You'll find this forum is a calm one as we haven't got a whole lot we wish to say to each other. Now isn't that a surprise?
