Later that day the teacher called me over and asked if I was planning on attending the dance. I'm all "Psh, NO!". And she said "That's good or I'd have had to suspend you for forging this permission slip I found in the recycling bin."

Oh, clever lady. Was it just one of those "just to see if you could it" instances?

A guy asked if he could borrow a pair of thongs, I said "we don't lend out THONGS sir" looking at him like he was some kind of pervert, not knowing he meant sandals. Another couple asked if they could set up a tee time, I said "I'm not much of a tea drinker but I don't think you need an appointment". I was fired pretty quick. They said I wasn't a "people pleaser".

They call sandals "thongs"? Weird...

Lol, yeah that would've saved my sandwich from my stupidity. Thanks.

I just felt like doodling and it only made sense to fill in the blank with the correct name. It's not like it would have been hard to get a legitimate signature. If I'd asked to go my mom would have been over the moon.

I forged my way into a blood drive once in high school. Take that, system!

Not sure I'd classify it as dumb, but definitely a mistake, and I would say born more out of naivety... But it would be convincing myself that 'social life' was a game to be played and something to be experimented with, and on top of that compartmentalising my social circles and presenting different personalities to each group under some misguided attempt to learn more about social dynamics. Once people from each group started occasionally interacting it became a tad complicated to stay on top of. But I was young, had lived mostly as a psychologically ostracised youth and was curious to see if I could learn to fit in. What resulted was an overly complicated life, and my needs as a schizoid being completely ignored. Yeah, plenty of regret on that one.

Yeah, I did that too. At the time, it was a good idea because nobody from my circles ever met with each other, but after a few years of it working perfectly, They had one of those drivers ed lectures at school where parents HAD to attend. I spent a great deal of that day hiding in the bathroom so that nobody from school would recognize me and approach me and my mom, talking to me like I was a different person (or something...)

Since then, I've been pretty withdrawn from establishing a mask for any particular circle.

The dumbest thing I've ever done was be myself around other people. That means act how I really want to act, say what I want to say, be honest, etc. When you're truly different from others and not the same, that doesn't float over quite so well. Never again will I reveal my true self to anybody. All I do now is mirror and tell people what will benefit me the most without a single remorse.

I was a "compliant" kid, which I guess just was so people would stay calm...

I had a curfew for coming home, but I figured since no one ever said what time I could leave the house I was within my rights to take off at around 3 am. I had (and still do have) a really high fear threshold and the payoff was that I got to be on my own and got an emotional vacation for hours. sweet!

(not to mention the passive-aggressive rewards of such a brilliant scheme)
I don’t have a full-blown PD.
That doesn't mean I have the opposite of a full-blown PD, if you get my drift.

A rather smart, but in hindsight, very dumb thing I've done:

Correcting a cop on standard procedure.

*Friend is driving*
Deputy: *walks over to driver's window* Sir, Do you realize I pulled you over for going 75 in 55 mph zone?
*awkward pause while he shines flashlight in our eyes*
Me: Don't forget to ask him for his license and registration, sir.
Deputy: Excuse me?!
Friend: What the f%#k is wrong with you! Shut up!

I just sat there dumbfounded. Had no idea why everyone suddenly had a stick up their ass.
