It was hard to define "hobbies" during depression but now i feel like i can write down what i do in order to occupy my time without getting bored:
- playing fighting games
- watching animes
- crafting stuff (assembling broken pieces of trash)
- sharpening anything
- chemistry and experimenting
- fapping to porn

Listening to/playing music.

I used to read every night, but I can never gather enough focus to not drift off and I rarely have the motivation to do it anyway.

Basically my hobbies too, if I am motivated.

Favorite video games (all iPad apps; I don't have an Xbox or playstation):
Brothers in arms
Pocket legends
Aqua moto
Foosball/air hockey

I also like chess and kenken puzzles. Only I give up pretty easily.
I read National Geographic from time to time, reading the newspaper makes me restless for some reason.

I have tried many things over the years, but they rarely stuck. Even things I'm apparently good at, they never held my interest for long... or I got terrified about being the center of attention while doing it.

Is posting in a thread that hasn't had a new reply in 4-months tantamount to grave digging? :D

If so, I sincerely apologize.

As someone who may be schizoid (zero friends/associates, generally feel threatened by others) I'll tell you how I keep myself entertained.

You can really enjoy the outdoors (alone!) if you go ahead and buy a decent bike. I often go on day-long cycling adventures just studying my surroundings. Walking/running is too slow... you can't get very far. On a bike, you can go REALLY far to some obscure area and explore someplace new. It's also a good way to stay in shape. (Cycling adventures at 3am are especially fun!)

Just go do some research on a place like bikeforums.net. You can teach yourself basic cycling skills.

As for a rewarding computer hobby, you could try to learn to use Blender 3D (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blender_3d), a free 3D modeling program. The learning curve is pretty steep, but if you get good you might be able to sell your models commercially (such as on Second Life).

Just a couple ideas to throw out there. :)

I used to do athletics until I told my parents I injured my shoulder. I did injure it, but not enough to stop going... I couldn't find the motiviation to go there anymore even though I was good at it. I want to go back but I just don't have the motivation.

In our specific group it took me a year to start talking to the other people, we became good acquaintances although I never spoke to them out of the club, and now I've just left them with no warning

I love going on walks through the woods. I take a long walk through a nature trail every weekend.

I've always been big into listening to music and watching the t.v. on mute.
Swimming (love it, once I start I end up going everyday to the pool)
Walking in the woods
Archery
Astronomy
Astrology
Palmistry
Reading books and journal articles
Writing fantasy
I actually like studying and consider it a hobby :?
People watching (which freaks some of my friends out... )
"There is a road, no simple highway,
Between the dawn and the dark of night,
And if you go no one may follow,
That path is for your steps alone."

I have lots of hobbies that I go through different phases of: writing fiction, making hand painted silkscreen prints, gardening, photography, music, bird watching, making jewelry, etc. Of course I have to be sufficiently motivated to work on any of these.

-Reading
-Netflix
-Sometimes gaming (last game that held my attention was ARK)
-Writing
-Drawing & painting
-Sometimes sculpting
-Experimenting with cooking different recipes

That's pretty much it. I don't do a heck of a lot outside, though I would if I could be by myself. I really like swimming but I haven't done it for over a decade (moved away from a house with a pool).
