@katana: as long as they stay underwater where nobody can see them.
I think in this scenario the bears and this fish people would eventually go to war. Also I am fine with the fish people on land as long as they wear fish bowls as helmets.

I just read this whole thing. Quite amusing. What a stupid thread.
Us not reproducing might be a problem if the world population was in decline. But its currently growing at a staggering rate. What happens when a population grows faster than the technology it requires to support it? Two things. Either the population must spread to a new area, or it eventually hits a 'brick wall'. Sorry for not supporting the parasitic growth rates of the 20th and 21st centuries. I have no problem with 7 billion people inhabiting the planet but it has to stop growing. I guess I'm a proud loser

I suppose that the "Plutarch Way" would include killing enough people to keep things balanced.
But why children? Wouldn't genetic clones be preferable?
Kill 6 billion people, then make 1 million Plutarch clones to subjugate the rest.

Lol no you don't have to kill anyone, I just wish people would stop popping out kids so often

Yes I think fish bowl style helmets could work. When the war arrives, I wonder what kind of munitions technology people who live under water would have.
