I'm a super-sensor: My sense of taste and smell are extremely sensitive. I can't taste any form of alcohol without virtually retching. Even the smell of things like alcohol or tobacco can give me a migraine that lasts for hours. I've gotten better at dealing with it over the years but needless to say; halls at university was spent on a constant supply of headache medication.

In my entire life, I've had one mouthfull of lager, one sip of red wine and one glass of port that I couldn't avoid with the army. Nasty foul stuff, almost threw it back up a few minutes later.

I can't stand the taste of alcohol. In the paste I have tried to get drunk but had to stop due to the taste. So I don't drink and have never been drunk.

I'm not a teetotaler but might as well be, it's insignificant to me.

Complicated. There is a heavy drinking culture here in Australia, so anyone who engages in social interaction needs to be at least comfortable with alcohol (covert schizoids included). I drink quite often, but rarely to excess. A beer or whiskey after I get home from work helps me to relax and unwind, and a glass of wine with a meal is normal. Unfortunately, my social circle is well past comfortable with alcohol, and the majority of them go out and drink heavily a couple of times a week (I'm talking roughly 20-30 standard drinks each per night as the norm). I honestly hate going out, so I try to limit big nights to once a month to maintain my standing within the group, as well as my health, but I am prone to blackouts when drinking to excess which I'd rather avoid. No matter how much I drink I don't really get hangovers, the only drawback of the lifestyle is the cost.

Useful in social situations. It's bit of a swing or a miss though, it either calms my anxiety or it makes me quite introspective - but not in a good way. I'll sit and think to myself but the reasoning I'm using is really odd and doesn't make sense at the time but I'll get depressed quite easily. So yeah trying to transition away from it recently.

I didn't drink till I was 23 or so. I started only to maintain my secret schizoid personality and pretend to be normal around coworkers. I've been drunk a few times, but it is rare. Most drinks are fairly disgusting, but there is something to be said for quality in some cases. I didn't get it at first, but now I actually like a little bit in some environments.

That said, I could live without it.
