If I'm meeting someone for the first time I usually say something along the lines of "Hi, I am probably the most boring person you will meet." But honestly I am an interesting person, given the proper context. I just never interact with anyone when I'm doing anything they might find interesting.

The only time I'll start to worry about it is if I stop finding myself interesting.

I agree with the other posters; I can't entertain other people. I can't even entertain myself, half the time.

For instance, observe that I replied to this topic only to concur with things other people have posted.

While I agree that we're not very interesting, I get the feeling that the reason you suddenly find us boring is that nobody wanted to be your facebook friend. I totally would've added you, except I don't really have an account like all of you interesting people. Sorry! :(
You must understand, young Hobbit, it takes a long time to say anything in Old Entish. And we never say anything unless it is worth taking a long time to say.

One would think that a schizoid would be interesting. After all, not being able to find rank in the social phenomology ought to accord a person a pretty interesting perspective, a unique look into something other people are missing. I like to call it, "reflections from the drain hole." It can make for some pretty interesting fiction (Philip Dick-type stuff) and creativity.

The schizoids who post on this forum MOST are the most boring. especially the person with the picture of the dog...

i stumbled upon this thread (i don't often travel out of the forums i belong to)
i think schizoid personality disorder itself is interesting.
but, i have never met someone with this diagnosis.
are you known for being boring, or is that just a stigma..?

SPD seems like it would be commonly associated to schizophrenia which they would associate with psychotic episodes and hallucinations. It's all sorts of wrong, but most people just don't know nor care anything about psychology, psychiatry, mental illness, etc.

As far as I know, SPD is expected to be cool, calm, collected, at all times logical and emotionless. The ultimate introvert.
