hello
I've been diagnosed as schizoaffective for about five years. The last year or so I discontinued medication and moved states and went to a new psychiatrist. This doctor, however, doesn't think I'm schizospectrum at all or even bipolar, which I was diagnosed bipolar 1 previously.
During the meeting I was mainly focused on just stress/anxiety that was current, but I don't think that should have been distracting from a history with the same diagnoses with different doctors.
Do you think I should probably get another opinion?

Hi, welcome to the forums
If more than one doctor has previously diagnosed you with Schizoaffective disorder, then yes, I would go to another psychiatrist. Not all psychiatrists are good at what they do. Just remember, you know you. If you were honest with your previous doctor(s), then their diagnosis is probably a good place to start. If you go to another psychiatrist, just remember that you can always return to this one.
