Schizoaffective parents with young children?

Postby leetulturtle » Thu Oct 27, 2016 2:55 pm

Hi everyone, I'm new here. Diagnosed for six years, originally schizophrenia then changed to schizoaffective. Anyway, I was rather hoping to connect with other people in a similar situation to me - as said in the title of my post, mums (or dads) of young children. Parenting with a disorder like this can be so tough and I could do with some moral support at the moment as I've crashed mood-wise after a few really good weeks. I don't know, I guess I just want to talk to people who understand and get my situation. None of my mummy friends can relate to what it's like being a parent with a severe mental health condition, neither can my family, and I feel quite isolated.

Private message me if you want, I'd really love to talk to someone.

Thanks :)
