A Restful and Healing Christmas to All

Postby sprock » Sun Dec 25, 2016 1:09 pm

I can't be alone in this sub-forum with somewhat struggling with Christmas, trying to shake oneself into just accepting the love that others have for you, which you find hard enough to consider deserved even outside of this season of forced jollity and present giving.

But already I've had moments. My elderly gran lost in her own world while singing 'Silent Night'. My brother's joy at winning a card game and the fact that me and sis no longer begrudge him his competitiveness, but are just wryly glad to see him excited. The Alan Partridge audio book on CD!!

I know a lot of folks here have family problems as well and are maybe alone at Christmas. If it helps, just wanted to let y'all know that I've been thinking of you. I hope this melancholy but rather sweet Christmas tune provides some succour and try not to spend too much of the day beating yourself up. They still get a Christmas dinner in prison.

I won't be alone, but I won't be spending Christmas with family this year and that sucks.
