It was already YOURS!

Postby Havoctoria » Sat May 31, 2014 11:50 pm

I sold all my books one day and asked him to do the same with his, 'cause we were low on cash.

I spent the cash on absolute bullsh*t anyway.

A month later (today), I buy ONE of the books we sold from the place we sold it to, back.

I give you the book, and you thank me with this super-happy look on your face.

Um... IT WAS YOURS ANYWAY. All I did was give you back what was YOURS, which you gave away for MY benefit.

Now I feel guilty because you were happy. Thanks. Thanks for the confusion. ._. Stop reacting weirdly, dammit!

Okay wait... what?
You're confused because you bought a book back that you recently sold for money?
(I'm sorry, I don't mean to be confused, I just really wanna help if I can.)

Oh, I'm quite alright now. I just needed to get it off my chest.

I feel guilty because I was shown a large amount of gratitude for something that didn't deserve it; I gave someone something that belonged to them anyway.

Oh, okay. I got it.
I'm glad that you're okay now.

What you did was very thoughtful so that's probably why the person was pleased, regardless of whether the book was his or not, you returned it to him and that's a nice thing to do. I can understand where the guilt came from but I think you should go easy on yourself.
