Dear OP,

I just registered after reading your post. It's been a while and I hope you are doing much better now. Me myself (now 32), started thinking about things I did in the past (when I was around 27), it wasn't one occasion but actually multiple. Looking back I don't understand why and how as it does not fit who I am. Extreme guilt is also eating myself now. It feels like it's dirt on my soul (not even in a religious way, but in a moral way). I like to see myself as a good person, I care about people.

I am actually also afraid to talk about it and was wondering if you want to PM me since I recognise a lot in your story and I feel better talking about it in private.

Hope you are still around on the forums.

Thanks!

I hope you and I can chat. I know exactly how you feel and have been dealing with the same amount of guilt and remorse for about 5 years now.

Hi EmperorDodge, my account is too new to PM but I just wanted to let you know that I'm in a similar boat and would be open to having a chat if you are.

We have all done bad things we regret. Some of us like myself did bad things that could be considered small crimes that we got away with, but we learn to forgive ourselves and let go. Guilt can very painful and lead to awful depression and feelings of hating yourself. Don't do what I have done and let it destroy you.
