Did I sexually abuse her?

Postby carmine » Thu Apr 25, 2013 4:03 pm

When I was the ages 9-12 I would wrestle with my mom's friends daughter and we would wrestle fully clothed except one time she was in underwear and I would "dry hump" her I did this a few seconds at a time and would go back to wrestling, I knew what I was doing and I feel so guilty for what I did.. is this normal sexual curiosity or did I actually do something terrible wrong:?: :?:

Could I get some insight on this, it would really mean a lot. Thanks

carmine-

In days of yore, what you did would have been called "naughty". I doubt any great harm was done. What you describe may be inappropriate, but it hardly constitutes sexual abuse. If that's the worst thing you do in life, consider yourself blessed.

thanks for the reply, something I really feel guilty for is though we have a four year age difference. She was 6 when I was 10 and I "dry humped" her.. I apologized to her saying I was sorry for what I did when I was younger, like wrestling with her and stuff and she said it's okay

You were young and your age at the time reduces your responsibility. From how you have described it the behavior doesn't sound very bad (in the grand scheme of things), and she has said she doesn't hold anything against you, if I were you I would say to myself "I crossed the line a little bit when I was younger on that occasion, but no serious harm was done, I was just a child and I have learned from it and now know what is and isn't appropriate behavior".

If you behave properly towards females now then really you shouldn't be beating yourself up over it, the world isn't perfect and human behavior isn't always perfect either. The fact that you have guilt I think shows you are a person of conscience and not a predatory type.

Yeah, I'm just telling myself that I was young a stupid and I'm feeling a lot better. Because at the time I think I knew what I was doing but didn't know the full extent to it.

Thanks for the reply
