Finally, remember that "everyone who's ever gotten over a loss at some point thought she or he wouldn't," says Alan Konell. "But you will. And you'll find that you still have that ability to open your heart and love."

I don't know if this is true. Sometimes people become 'emotionally unavailable' and just never truly love anyone ever again. If you read about this problem, it seems that it can be temporary ("the rebound") or long term if someone really had a traumatic childhood and bad relationships early on, etc.

hI and thank you, very helpful advice.
I also think the same, were as he his saying "just move on"

we only broke up 3 months ago and he did it over txt, even though we lived in the same house, he moved to his mothers until i,d moved all my things out, he doesn't like confrontation apparently. the problem im having is *how it ended* not why.
Your advice confirms for me that i am doing it the right way, in thinking about all and not just shutting myself off and hiding.
I am feeling im getting stronger each day and i can cope with the loss, its the how that im having trouble with as i said earlier, have you any advice on how i can deal with this part?
i don't want to constantly ask myself *how could he done it that way* when i moved from UK to Norway to build a life together.

thanks in advice for any help

Great article! I hope that you are taking the time that you need to be kind to yourself and heal from your broken heart. Sometimes the best love that you can give yourself is to grieve.

Anyway, I know that my behaviour is not acceptable, but since I know that they get together a lot it really started to make me angry and jealous I decided to do it...

Finding a new relationship after a breakup goes a long way to meding a broken heart.

But with all the bars and discos closed because of covid, it's really hard for a young person to meet someone new.
