Question for bisexuals?

I'm straight but I just have this general question. What do you do when you want to have a life partner? How do you choose between the sexes? Do you tend to go with the sex that you are most attracted to? Or do you just go with the particular person you feel close to, be it a man or woman? I'm just curious.

Nobody has yet answered but I thought that I might because I have known some bisexuals in my life (I am not bisexual myself, by the way). Anyway, the ones that I have known invariably preferred being with a person of the same sex, presumably because it's easier to 'know' a person of the same sex than it would be with someone of the opposite sex. Plus, they would obviously know how to pleasure each other better when engaged in sexual activity.
