Can I get some advice on 4 years single at 35?

How do I meet people??? I never dated in high school. Dated dealer almost twice my age in college. then fell into addiction and was with another addict for 4 years. Ran around with random people for a few years, with another man twice my age in late 20s domestic violence ended that. was with a long time friend for a year who then died due to OD. i was addicted went back to jail. left and met daughter dad, got pregnant right away. went to mommy baby program during pregnancy, moved back in with parents jan 2019 and havent dated or had sex or even flirted with a guy since. I take meds that completely remove sex drive so i never get horny or turned on or in a position that im craving physical interaction. But i want another child someday, im 35. I work, take care of daughter, go to parks and beach (im in FL). HOW do i meet people? Never seriously tried online dating? Anyone recommend it? Sorry this is so long, appreciate any answer or advice, thank you!

Online dating is rough. You really have to know what you want and make no compromises for the most important things (values, etc). You have to be prepared to weed through a lot of people who are not honest or just looking for one thing.

I am neither female nor have done online dating, but I'll second Otter. And third him. From what I've learned through women who have done online dating, I'd say it'll be safe to automatically assume the majority of men are going to be neither honest, or interested in anything but Friends With Benefits. Not to say good ones aren't out there- there are. But there's a lot of frogs ain't gonna turn into princes.

Big fat NO to using online dating services. They exist to match people up for sex and that’s it.
You are most likely to meet someone you like through a mutual hobby. Whatever that hobby is, engage in it, make friends, and you will meet friends of friends, etc. in the meantime be patient and enjoy your daughter. You will have to take extra care in who you date, to make sure you keep your daughter safe.
