In the past I dragged out unhealthy relationships for far too long. I don’t want to do this anymore. Problem is, he lives with me and he has nowhere to go. This isn’t a simple breakup. He still wants to be with me even though he thinks I’m abusive and hates me. What have I gotten myself into...

I've been in this situation twice before. Now I am in a healthy 7-year relationship with my guy, so I have learned my lesson.

If you are in an unhealthy relationship and there is no hope for improvement, it is best to call it quits. I've been with two guys who were abusive and unwilling to change. They also had nowhere to go. So I ended moving out. One of them had to be forced out of my place by the police, unfortunately.

Life is too good to be surrounded by people who are unsupportive and abusive. I'd rather be single and happy than miserable with another guy.
