My friend came out as bi and says he has a crush on me

Postby spammydodger » Fri Feb 07, 2014 2:15 pm

Here's the situation: a friend and I (19m and 18m resprctively) are on a road trip together (of the USA, but we're english) and a couple of nights ago he admitted to me that he's bi. I was obviously fine with that, and thought it would probably be a good time to admit that I have a fat fetish. All is running smoothly so far. Then he said that he has a crush on me.
At first I didnt't really think much of it, it was very flattering and it kind of made me feel less weird about the fact that he would always stare at me before and it creeped me out. However a couple of days later I'm now really confused - I'm slightly bi (ie I normally go for women but occasionally have periods when im more into men) but I have absolutely 0 romantic feelings for him. He asked if he could kiss me and I said no, he also asked (while we were sleeping next to each other in the car which was a one-off thing) if he could snuggle up to me and I just had to refuse again.
The thing is there's now more creepy staring than ever and I kind of get the impression he might want a relationship.
He's obviously confused about this as well and I don't want to upset him but I need to make this normal again!
I should easily be able to stop this ruining our holiday, or worse our friendship, but there's nobody in real life I can talk to about it as he has only told me that he's bi.
One final thing: I asked him to describe his type and it was slim with long hair (probably my two defining characteristics along with being tall) and I was thinking maybe I should cut my hair off to make me less atteactive to him?? This seems rather extreme and I like having my hair, I also think it would make him feel a bit bad but maybe less so than any other solution!
Any help or advice would be very well appreciated
