A-B-U-S-E-D

I was going to a course some years ago when i was put in outplacement (hope that`s the right word for it? Its practice). Yeah i was put in practice in a shop that worked with what i was training to become, when i encountered some problems with my health.

Earlier when i had been working in flower shops(i was training to become a flower decorator) i had much more freedom because the shops were not so busy, so i could do multiple tasks. This time i had ended up in a very busy shop that was mainly "counter operated" which means you stood behind a counter all day packing in flowers.
I have both back and arm issues that makes that type of action painful after a long time, so i asked the boss if i could do some other tasks for a while, she said i couldn`t and that it was a counter required job.
I have kyfoses which is a small bend forward some degrees in my spine, this with tennis elbow in both of my arms made it difficult to stand there for long hours.
Because this was "only" a practice placement(i was still studying in class just working there for a week then back to school, then back to store) i wasn`t meant to work in weekends. I didn`t get paid for this job since it was with the school and it was meant to be in school time.

It was a hectic shop and the boss was frantically trying to find somebody who could work for her in the weekend. I was looking forward to relaxing over the weekend since i had stood on my feet all week in the shop(which at that time was a win for me since i hadn`t had a "full time job" in some years).

On friday the boss came up to me and asked me if i could work on saturday, i said yes because this shop was the only shop that would offer me a working practice and because it was maybe important for my future to make a good impression in case i needed to apply for job there later?

Besides i was meant to come back to that shop later for more experience.


So the boss couldn`t let me do something else (after having stood in that same position for many hours), just for a short while, yet she expected me to be flexible enough for her a whole day, so she could visit her boyfriend who lived out of town

My arms were hurting and my whole back was stiff.
The boss only had a few weeks left in her position in that shop since she had been offered another job, so i think she didn`t give a tosser in others? (Although besides from that she could be friendly and she asked me in a friendly way-but so did i)
