What counts as rape?

Open Discussions About Rape and Sexual Assault.

In the UK the legal system is generally stacked against males. Domestic violence campaigns always target male on female violence despite the amount of female on male DV being roughly the same. When the police attend a domestic incident it is police policy to arrest and remove the male regardless. There are laws in progress that permit the sexual discrimination against men in the workplace. The discrimination laws we already do have are tipped in the female's favour.

That is really sad that there is no law for men who get raped. I've never known anyone personally but I've heard about it happening. It's sad in so many ways, obviously for the victims but also because it perpetuates idiotic myths, like woman are never the aggressors, that a woman can't overpower a man (ignoring the fact that not all men are stronger than all women - compare the weedy guy you know to the big strong well built women that are out there) but also that it has to be one physically overpowering the other for it to be rape, which we know is false. As has been mentioned not all rapists use force, because emotional coercion or threats can work just as well.

Secondly I never really knew how bad female on male domestic violence could get until I heard about my friend's dad, the most passive and good natured guy out, whose female partner used to beat him regularly, sometimes with weapons, one time putting him in hospital. He would never raise a finger against her. So that is so ridiculous that they automatically take away the man. Oh how sad. I hope someone brings this up in your parliament and changes the law!
