Hi all. this is my first time posting to this forum. im usually just a silent observer. i wanted to share with you something that has greatly helped me deal with my sexual trauma. meditation. meditation has helped me confront my trauma and deal with it in a way that i have found to help me with anxiety and ptsd symptoms. my anxiety and ptsd used to keep me up to the point where i was diagnosed with insomnia. doing meditation before bed has helped me learn to let go of what happened at least momentarily, enough to get restful fulfilling sleep. i used to find i was unable to get my mind away from the park where "it" happened. now after many sessions of meditation im able to close my eyes and focus on my breath and return my trauma ridden mind away from my nightmarish past into the peace of the present moment. i have included a link with a guided meditation on youtube that has helped me. eventually i didnt need a guide but its a great way to get started. i wish all of you peace and wellness.
