I think I may have been raped

Postby Leviathan132435 » Sun Dec 03, 2017 6:15 pm

First off Im an 24 year old straight male. About a month ago I was drinking in the city and I think I was drugged. Long story short I have trouble remembering after leaving a bar and woke up 10 minutes away frm the bar passed out throwing up on the sidewalk. I was separated from my friend, who also remembers almost nothing. Our 3rd friend left at 130am and shortly after my other friend was kicked out and security told me to leave with him. I saw him outside and that was the last thing I remembered. We think this was around 145am or so. Next thing I remember Im passed out between 2 cars and a stranger wakes me up. I throw up a little and he and his friend (a woman he was with) gave me some gatorade and asked for my phone to call my parents at exactly 219am. They stayed with me a bit and talked to my dad and paid for a cab home for me (it was very expensive, and I paid him back days later when i spoke to him again)

The next day I was gassy with diarrhea but no pain or symptoms of anal. Wasnt too worried until I spoke to the good stranger that helped me and he was convinced that I was drugged based on my behaviour. I had no symptoms so i didnt really worry about any rape possibility. Then, last week, I started getting burning/tingling around my anus with some redness and when I looked there was a tiny cut. The cut healed very quickly and by the time I saw a doctor it was healed and he said I was fine and that it was most likely something else. He wouldnt do any std testing on me. The next day i got another little cut. Same thing, it went away in about a day. Then a couple days later another. This one looked more like a little blister. Again though it healed up very quickly. That area is still slightly uncomfortable though. Im worried that if those cuts/blisters are herpes, then I may have gotten HIV

Is there a possibility I was anally raped and didnt know. Would I have had symptoms the next day? Also I was fully clothed and in a Halloween jumpsuit so I know its unlikey especially in that short period of time, but is there a possibility in that 30 minute memory gap? I dont remember most of the car ride and threw up a lot. But remember bits when I got home

Usually the symptoms of an anal penetration would show up immediately and would not be delayed for weeks. The symptoms you describe are similar to anal fissures, which are very common, result from the passing of stool, and heal very quickly. Probably this is what your doctor thought as well, which is why he was not concerned about STDs.

It sounds like you have some anxiety about what happened that night, and that may be driving your concerns. But unless you remember something specific, there wouldn't be cause to believe anything along those lines happened. Best not to assume the worst unless you have a good reason.

Hope that helps. Try not to worry too much.

Thanks a lot for your reply, Its really helpful. I definitely do have anxiety issues which I believe is also the cause, but just not knowing for sure really bugs me. And knowing that I cant get accurately tested for anything for another 2 months makes it so much worse. But thanks again for you input, its reassuring to me and makes me feel better. Hopefully more people reply as well so that I can put this whole thing aside for the tme being and focus on life lol
