Thanks One, the thing is I guess a lot of guys who have been in my situation do find it tough to come forward. I have carried this around for a long time and I know the hardest thing has been gaining acceptance because society has trouble dealing with the issues such as this. In fact it generally tries to sweep such things under the carpet and avoid the subject altogether.
I know that it tends to be tougher on male victims too because society cannot grasp the reality of such a thing, same as domestic violence perpetrated by women, it's rare and does happen but generally those that suffer have to either live in fear or suffer the shame on continued ridicule. Even growing up having been a young victim it was difficult because certain things were tough to deal with and they caused other issues and in fact ended up with name calling and ridicule of a different kind.
The bright light at the end of a dark tunnel could be an oncoming train, but it could also be the way out of the darkness...
