A spark, a match, a little flame

Postby kanin » Tue May 31, 2011 8:47 am

Deary me, this place is dead. Light up a little life in this forum! I didn't even know this place existed. It has so much potential to be oh so much fun. :D

I like fire. I played with it a lot when I was a kid but as it goes, that fascination was extinguished by my wary parents. I picked it back up in high school and started smoking just so I had an excuse to carry lighters and matches all the time. It's been a long time since I set anything bigger than an car on fire. It was perfectly legal, owned by a friend who said I could. Rusted out old thing stuffed with a mattress and covered in gasoline. Out in the countryside so the neighbors didn't care.

Usually, I try to keep to normal fire activities. Grilling, bonfires, campfires, burning leaf piles, the fireplace in our home, etc. I have candles burning almost 24/7. It's really hard not to play with it and when I do, I take a lot of safety precautions. I'd rather keep my pretty face. lol

I saw this yesterday and was curious whether Psychforums had anything on it. Lo and behold, little pyros have our own forum. lol I hope the video works outside of the US and if it doesn't, that sucks. It's a rather amusing documentary.

Thanks for the link. It seems to work fine here. I look forward to watching it soon. :)
No diagnosis, lots of opinions, and a bunch of issues that I haven't quite figured out.

That site has a lot of interesting things on it. It's been my boredom killer recently.

OMFG WHAT WAS IT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

This forum needs some light, yes. :P

I keep my $#%^ controlled too. Living "at home", so I have to. =\ Mostly candles, which Im not supposed to have, but what bitch don't know won't hurt her.
Baking tins are decent things to set small fires in. Guranteed containment, save it getting on blinds or anything you've stupidly got hanging down.

When youre not allowed to, for whatever reason, how do you cope?

We are all people.
We will never be one, do not suggest to us we should integrate.
Or that we are objects. Or that we aren't real.

An old truck. Nothing dramatic or anything.
