Its coming back.

Postby Eric_Lee » Wed Oct 07, 2009 4:55 am

So, my unknown obsession with fire is slowly returning. The more i see it, the more i want to see it. This time its accompanied with other.. less accepted habits though. Only a matter of time before i burn somthing down again.. looking forward to it.

This is od because I had a ~4 hour talk of health and safety today, and it's mainfocus was fire and explosive hazards. I could tell you so much about fire that there would probably be flames coming out of my ass by the end of it. I do not mean to make fun of your problem though, Eric, and am merely trying to make you smile. What I suggest that you do is not to be in any way reserved/afraid about this 'pyro obsession' that you have. In fact, i think that you should allow yourself to freely explore everything therre is to know about fire so that you can remove the 'shroud' around it and be proud that you have an interest in this area.

I'm far from reserved about it. I also did a lot of research and reading into topics related. If anything, that just made it easier for me to play with.

Well, don't be fearful of that urge to play with it. I'm confidant that you're an intelligent person and that you wouldn't end up nuring yourself or your clothes. Whenever I get an obsession, I allow myself to freely explore it no matter how bad it is. I firmly believe that most of them fade away if you just don't start avoiding them or being scared of them. THe more scared you are, the more you think about them, and the more 'etched' on your brain they become.

Its not so much the fire, more setting it. Its just very relaxing. From what i've read, more often than not, people that are pyromaniacs light the fires for relief of tension (some people do yoga, some people light fires). I must admit, it does relax me quite a bit. Mind you, i'm then more tempted to light a large scale one to get more relaxation.. and so on.

What stuff are you actually setting fire to? I had a fascination with fire just like you have now, but i exhausted the fascination when I was younger by setting fire to - like - bits of trash lying around my housing estate. I also gazed into the fire at home, seeing how the various toys that I put into it melted. I would literally sit there in front of it for hours, not realising that my face was being burned from the heat. It kind of dries the eyes out too.

What do i set on fire? Anything flameable. I used to just make little camp fires all the time. I enjoy fireworks, axe/other flameable *flamethrowers* at various things.

You might want to keep that information to yourself, or else you'll get into serious trouble (regarding the last thing you mentioned. In fact, i strongly recommend that you edit it out. Keep your 'fire' obsession under as much control as you can. I mean, it's very possible to explore it and not harm/annoy/upset anyone else. I remember once my brother and I started a fire at near my cousin's house down by the rail-track. We were foolish enough to bring a few aerosol cans too and dutifully used them as flamethrowers. After using one, my cousin noticed that the nozzle was on fire even after he had stopped spraying... ...and he threw the thing away as far as the eye could see... ... :)

My cousin and I partixcularly had obsessions with fire. We used to regularly melt toys that we owned, and even melted Michael Jackson once (it was when he was still black).

And, the moderator in you kicks in. So disapointing chucky, just because somthing is frowned upon by society does not make them wrong. I head your advice, purely because i am aware of the thickness of the ice i reside on. Fire consumes regardless of what is right and wrong. That is why i admire it so.

You think I've sold myself just because I obey by the rules of the website? I rarely obey the rules and typically do what I want here, within reason. I do'nt care for anyone's rules but my own. Then again, the rules that I set myself are generally for the good of people as I see it. Now, I know for a fact that this website is patrolled by Google bots, which means that anything you write here can be picked up in Google's search engine. Given that this webdomain is high up on Google's listings, you can therefore see why I'm simply advising you to edit out what you wrote.
