My daughter just turned 18, She is a Senior in High School this year. My husband and I have always home schooled her. She has been a pretty good kid. But the past year and a half have been hell. And now that she is "18" she thinks that she is an adult in every way. But of course does not want any of the adult responsibilities. We have caught her with a 43 year old man and a 34 year old man. One of the men happened to be her dad's boss. We have tried talking to her, yelling at her, not talking to her, taking things away and nothing works for long. She works two very part time jobs. But it is like pulling teeth to get her up to go to them. She has to be reminded to wash her clothes. She uses our cars to get around and then thinks it is okay not to tell us where she is going. She has not even had her licenses for a year yet. We as parents worry so much about her but that just goes right above her head. She just thinks that we are being over bearing and nasty to her. What do we do. Should we start making her pay rent? Pay her own cell phone bill? What can we do to make her understand that being 18 is not an adult. She is so not ready.
