Whew! Relieved to be Here

Postby softscintilla » Sat Oct 26, 2019 6:35 am

Hey y’all, I’m new. Thanks for being here, and to those who’ve come before us.

I’ve been in therapy off and on since my teens, for 35 years now. Mostly on for the past 20. All I’d received were Axis I diagnoses, and quite a few.

I quit my last therapist and switched to doing therapy with my psychiatrist. I was recently diagnosed with BPD and STPD.

I finally feel like I can let go of the inner grip I have had on myself my whole life. It’s a big relief.

I made it :)

We’re going to use Schema-Focused Therapy together. I have done so much DBT already and it doesn’t go deep enough for my liking. I researched Schema Therapy and it is definitely the one for me.

Looking forward to addressing my root dysfunctions — finally!

Hope to know some of you along the way. Be seeing you in the Topics.

Take good good care of yourselves this weekend.
Dx: STPD+BPD, w/ lots of Axis I disorders
