I'm trying to reach out after a very long time. Abuse as a kid and combat experience as contracted to the Rangers 75th in the late 80's to mid 90's in South America. I wasn't there...It didn't happen, kind of stuff and my life keeps unraveling. I go along ok for a while then I slowly simmer into a spin-out of some kind. I was "deprogrammed" a long time ago and most of the dreams have stopped and I don't wake up screaming anymore but I can tell the ghosts are still there.
No more ghosts.
Any replies are appreciated
Thank you, P786

Hello SadGurl and thank you so much for your query
I have had some therapy in private but was unaware that this has been what I was dealing with on such a large scale. Other than that it was deprograming or as termed (exit counseling). Trying to find a qualified therapist at this time.

That's good Patrick, it takes time to learn to cope with this stuff, alot of time, you'll get there.
Hang in there.

Hi Patrick, I have been reading a lot about EFT emotional freedom technique and they first tested it out in veteran hospitals with PSTD patients - they eliminated their nightmares and other symptoms. Also you can learn EFT for free from their website
www.emofree.com
who knows it might be helpful

Len and SadGurl
Thank you both for your thoughtfulness and response.
Looking at the EFT site now and it looks interesting. I'll also see if there is a therapist who knows and can help with it. either way I think I'll start doing it. I am gratefull for anything at this point as it has been a long time living this way. I'm just glad I finally began reaching out and it is wonderful to see such caring
You people are wonderful
Peace, P
