I'm having a really hard time lately with the scummy feeling, like there's dirt on my body that can't be washed off. It makes me want to crawl out of my skin knowing that there's nothing I can physically do to remove how it feels.
Pretty sure other people go through this, too, so what do you do about it? Any pointers?
Blame it on me, but know that I won't regret one iota.

DONT do what I did once and take a bath in bleach and hot water. What can work is talking to yourself and saying you are clean now and it is OK. Have a bath with bubbles and talk yourself through how you are washing yourself and how each bit of your body is clean, then get into clean clothes and snuggle up, telling yourself you are clean and safe. You are not dirty, it is OK.

Thanks Cracked.
Ouch - bathing in bleach must have hurt! I've never used harsh chemicals but have scrubbed skin off before. It's not the kind of thing I do anymore but the feelings are still there.
Blame it on me, but know that I won't regret one iota.

You are welcome. Yeah it did hurt. Please try to remember that you are not dirty. You are clean and safe.
