On paper it's PTSD, but we talk about it in the larger sense.

BTW I ALWAYS argue with the "experts." I know too much about this crap they usually get pissed off

lol, yeah. I am sure it does. But at this point I try to play nice so that I am at least heard. I will look into the details later, if need be. It is more practical for me at this point. What they believe does not concern me too much, as long as the issues are addressed. I found your post interesting, because it seems similar to my experience. That is more important than the theories of the wardens.

I've spent a lot of time researching and figuring things out I hope to pass on some of what I've learned. :D

Maybe those everyday experiences triggered feelings you had about your past trauma and it's those experiences you remember because they are milder and less scary, maybe your mind is sort of trying to protect you.

Flashbacks can be triggered by indirect means too. Because our subconscious works more through symbology and association, unexpected things can trigger memories. (Like a particular odor, for example) If this roundabout reminder is associated with a traumatic event.... The conscious mind tries to bring the memory to light while the subconscious tries to 'protect' us by fighting just as hard to suppress it. If I understand your post correctly, it sounds like something along these lines is what's going on.
