ptsd & psychotic?

hello, i was diagnosed with ptsd several months ago due to childhood abuse/trauma, i've been on wellbutrin twice a day with no luck of feeling better, i went to see the M.D. here the other day to get some meds, hoping for something to help me with anxiety, but i walked out with something called "abilify". looks like this is for bi-polar or schizaphrenia (sp), after i asked what it was for, i asked why a bi-polar med if i have ptsd, and he said it was because of me hearing my mother's voice,my daughter crying in the night when she's not. has anyone else took this med, and if so how'd it work for you? also he says this med will kickstart the wellbutrin that has yet to help me. thanks.
