That was fast on changing from considering epilim to giving you abilify..
My docs won't even give appointments until a week after you call them..
Fair enough on the ADHD point..
I can see the point with not making friends at DBT now you mention it.. I guess that people need to spend all their emotional energy healing and going through the programme rather than becoming friends with someone who will potentially need to lean on you.
The few sessions i had of therapy were in a group setting for the most part (I had some one on one as well) and one of the members gave me her phone number.. the group leader pulled me to the side to ask that i consider carefully whether i was strong enough to take her issues on as well as my own.
I decided that i wasn't in the end. I did get a different persons number and she is someone that i've now lost touch with but was very stable and we simply met up once in a while to chat rather than lean..
Thanks. This thread didn't trigger me, nothing on the internet does, I'm coming off risperidone and just venting
^^ that makes sense..
re the bpd and npd thing.. it really is a difficult topic within the psych field.. in some ways i can understand it because males with bpd do present differently to females with it in general but researchers need to do a bit more work on showing psychs how to unpick exactly which is which..
can i ask..? = what do you mean by ''(cough borderline)''..? That one got lost in translation..
