ONE CRAZY POEM
by Jay Dubb
Every day i write the book
yet it springs from wells of subconscious
the images and thoughts make up my dreams and life
could all this be a dream?
As if I was on rocky shore searching for shells
or in forest green
in my mind
or
in a poem
Harken back to ages of old
antiquity and bronze
or linger in a future
of nanotechnology and gigainformation
stop what i'm doing
stop what you're doing
let it be
let it be
just let my mind be free
it's ok if you want to get together
we could just go for a coffee
or hang out
walk in the park
i don't necessarily want to date you
i just want to get to know you
last night i dreamt of buddy holly
he was there
and he was magnificent
i learned from him
how to be real
not to give in to all the hassles and cons
and energy vampires
just stand my ground
don't be afraid of my femininity
and express myself
be focused
know what I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I: WANT
(for God's sakes, i just got to know it)
'cause i don't know a heck of a lot anymore
i could be inside this poem or travelling through your computer at a million bytes a second
landing inside your home and calling you on the phone
sayin', "hey man, can you get me some more of whatever you got?"
Ah, shoot... don't make no difference anyhow...
except that i've still got my creativity and my life and my freedom
