Waiting...

when the world around you seems too be spinning
and every end seems to be a new beginning
when all falls down and you cant turn around
ill just be sitting here waiting for you

if you look in the mirror and all you see is failure
but you think you can cope with it, sure..
when it is all over and you start feeling sober
ill just be sitting here waiting for you

when the fog lift up and you vision is clear
you can come running cuz ill be here
im yours forever without just an empty cadaver
ill just be sitting here waiting for you

if you break a sweat and you forget what to do
ill give you some comfort too keep your cool
you can rave and you can tear, there's nothing i cant bear
so ill just be sitting here waiting for you

untill it breaks me down and there are no more tears to shed
ill be waiting for the girl that got inside my head

I really like the image portrayed in this.......when I first started reading....even though I doubted it was your intent....I pictured it being something God would say.....yeah...I know...some might find that corny....but to me...God would say much of that....you live your life....no matter how it gets or what it is for you....I'll simply be here waiting for you to turn back to me! But obviously as you read on you realize you can't take it in that direction!! I went back and reread it of course then to get the full image. I really like the direction you took. Great Job!

I liked how this started off seeming like a really sad love story, but then at the end you see how it's actually just two distinct parts of somebody. The shell of the person and the girl trapped inside. Very creative, beautiful writing.

Silly me...I just took it as a love poem. That's the great thing about poetry though...it doesn't really matter what it "means", as long as it speaks to you. Great poem!

Yes, the beautiful thing about this poem is how many different interpretations can exist. This is not because the writing is vague, far from it, but is because people can relate to it in a slightly different way. Poetry can be such a personal thing to both the author and the listener. Again, way to go!
