forsook to violence
and enmity disdain
this blurry facade

prodigal nation
fatal worship you inspire
as Illuminati you conspire

lavish in vain
avarice suffice
to matrixistic gain

obliterate to comisserate
my anrchristic brain
as we all fade away

hmm...I LOVE WHO I AM

Postby NietzscheWisdom* » Mon Jul 04, 2005 12:13 am

 whoa!...I'm still experimenting with writing(as you can tell), you must know that all my life I'd only been making art in the forms of canvas paintings, life sketches, sculpture, drama, film scripts, and my daily hell> journal/diary writing about thing I'd observed/about O.B.E's ...I'd collected quotes ever since I could remember and composed black metal lyrics_but thats about it ...but now since of finding this site you all really inspired me and made me realize how I myself could write up to six poems a week (I'm unstoppable)  now I take my journals with me evrywhere and write down everything I see/feel/am /death..etc_

~its beautiful  ...to "know thyself"

Believe it or not, that's one of the best things I've heard in a while!! And I like your poetry. If you're also good at canvas painting, and sketching and all, you must be like super-talented!!

Please don't hurt me!

Postby quiet-loner » Mon Jul 04, 2005 1:41 pm

I really liked it except for one thing.
I hope you won't take too much offence at a little creative criticism but in the second verse the inspire/conspire rhyme didn't seem to scan for me, and in the third verse the vain/gain rhyme didn't feel right either. I can't put my finger on why they don't quite work though :? .
It's probably just my anti-rhyming conditioning but they didn't seem to fit with the flow of the first and last verse.
On the positive side though you keep on improving with everything you've posted, so don't let me put you off. :D

OMFG quite-loner you'r acting so freaking naive! by pointing out those two little rhyming effects just because they don't sit well with you_it was not an accident :x I purposefully chose those specific words for a reason...their meaning!...I'm sorry if you don't like when poetry has to rhyme

My bad.

Postby quiet-loner » Tue Jul 05, 2005 12:26 pm

Your probably right, NietzscheWisdom*. It's just my anti rhyming poetry stance coming through.
I realise that you chose those words for a reason, they just don't feel right to me. This is not to say that there is anything wrong with your choice of words, and I didn't mean to imply that, it's just a subjective thing.
As the saying goes; "Opinions are like assholes, everybodies got one".

I didn't think that you sounded like a bitch :? . I just thought that you were defending your poem in a forthright manner and there's nothing wrong with doing that.
It's called free speech 8) :D !
