Ward 6

Postby Guest » Sat Nov 13, 2004 1:32 am

Staring out the window as the sun begins to set beyond the horizon
And the traffic below me passes by without a sound
From where I am
Locked away
In here I am
Where I have to stay
For the first time

Some people talking
Some people laughing to themselves
The days are hell
Your minds a cell
Up here on Ward 6

Well my eyes are so full of tears that I can't even see
Misery is killing the life that once used to be
And hate is all that I seem to have left for me

In here to make me alright
Been sick so long
So much is wrong
That might take some time
What else is there to do?
It's all routine
The same 'ol scene
But I don't feel like I can go
To groups tonight

Some people crying
Some people fighting with themselves
God, I feel so alone
Wish I could go back home
Get out of Ward 6

And my eyes are so full of tears that I can't even see
Misery is killing the life that once used to be
And hate is all that I seem to have left for me
Hate is all that I have left for me

My eyes are so full of tears that I can't even see
Misery is killing the heart inside of me
I'm turning to stone

Great poem, I could see you put a lot of feeling in it and that must of been a traumatic experience. I hope you're doing ok, and I'd like to read more of your poems when and if you write them.

There's a good chance that you aren't even on this forum anymore, but I wanted to tell you that I love your poem. That was really nice. I like it a lot!!
