Caught in the rain

The sweet scent of summer storms assails the senses.
Pounding torrents of rain purifies the soul and rejuvinates the mind.
I come to life.
lightning cracks the grey-black canvas of the sky
a smile of awe stuck wonder cracks across my face
spirit now dancing in the deluge
I am alive.




Constant Companion

Time marches down its endless path
The ancient and the instant
The all and the nothing
Oldest friend and greatest foe
When willing time away it's easy to miss simple pleasure
Pause embrace the moment
Life is short and death is forever
