I lay here beside you
Hearing you breathe
I want to stay longer
But I turn and leave.

I walk away quietly
Hoping you'll not see
That leaving your warmth
Is the hardest for me.

But how can I stay?
Please tell me some way.

When you're afraid of the future
And ashamed of the past,
How is this love
Supposed to last?

You say love never ends.
But I say that it can.
How can you love me
When you hate who I am?
