My mistake

My mistakes cause many conflicts
May it be world wars or petty arguments
They all mean the same to me
I am not perfect but I wish you could understand
That I cannot be yours forever
nor you mine
I cannot hope to predict
Our impossible future that we can never be
For I lie to myself
Filling my mind with pain and regret
That we can be everything and that you can be my everything
Or my nothing because it lasts forever
Yet I know we won't last together
All because of my mind and mistakes
