The Shepard and The Wolf

Postby Armywife » Sun May 14, 2006 6:10 am

A whisper,
just a voice I suppose,
echoing long into the distance
waiting abroad for it’s lover.
While still into the night it does haunt,
like a never ending breeze rustling
through twigs and vines of deceit.
For there amongst the old Inn,
with in it’s hellish red roof,
she does lay.
Her moans the haunting nightmare
that answer backs quietly,
as she digs her nails across the Shepard’s skin.
Begging for forgiveness, while still telling him…
“I love you so.”
Yet, here her true lover still awaits
Knowing full well her darken secret,
Yet, he still awaits
Calmer now than before…
But however long shall a sheep
escape that of a wolf, a true hunter?
Only the light breaking from his raging heart
Holds the key.
That and two silver bullet that dances idly
within the palm of his hand.
A soft click, than two knocks…
“Who there?” the Shepard does call…
“Only the Wolf” a voice does whisper
May all my troops make it home...
