Stress-related sickness

Postby notjustsurviving » Sat Feb 12, 2011 11:45 pm

In response to high levels of stress, I've had a few different physical symptoms, from frequently disturbed sleep to numbing limbs and, more recently, stomach pain and dizziness. The reason I know they're stress-related rather than actual illnesses is because tests came back clear each time (gladly!) but it can be scary to get these things so no harm checking them out anyway!
Has anyone else here had nasty physical symptoms from stress that feel like actual illnesses?

Yes. I find it difficult to realise that I am feeling stressed. Normally I only notice when my body is suffering, and it becomes too obvious to ignore. Common stress symptoms for me are eczema, dandruff, acne, indigestion (usually diarrhoea, sometimes vomiting), hair loss, and changes in my weight. Hehe, I must look sexy when I'm stressed! :P As much of a nuisance as these things are, I like that my body shows me when I have to fix something in my life.
No diagnosis, lots of opinions, and a bunch of issues that I haven't quite figured out.

It has been learned that stress and disease can actually change the shape of our blood cells. Normal healthy cells are round, smooth and shapely. These happy cells do their job well, and can help you to stay healthy. While the stressed cells are somewhat distorted in shape and look curled up and don't function near as well as the happy round cells.

I can pretty much say, ditto Platypus, minus a few things but my lack of "body sense" reaches to the point of me feeling sick to my stomach to the point of vomiting instead of hungry to the point of starving or over full after eating. I've had a bit of success in setting a regimented eating schedule for myself in an attempt to normalize at least those kinds of reactions. On the other hand, I rarely have anything BUT my physical health to go on because the stress isn't something that registers consciously with me. Disturbed sleep/insomnia, stomach pain, and dizziness are all things that I'm immensely familiar with.

When I am in stress, I am experiencing insomnia and can’t have a better sleep. So I always have a low energy level and it cause me to become weak and ill. It is more triggered especially when I am anxious or worrying something. Thanks to the contribution of energy medicine it really amazes me with its effect. When I had a session with Paul (YM practitioner) I felt a lot better after a short session that all the heavy weights in my body have been removed. It also helps me to have a better effect especially in managing the stressful events in my daily routines. I felt my body reacting to his corrections and am amazed how mysterious it made. I felt so happy and light hearted after the said session. Now, I can manage my life by having the benefit of the Yuen method.
