Hello, hopefully this is in the right forum. If not, sorry. I was going to put it under exercise, BUT due to my symptoms....I thought here would be better.
So there was a point (not that long ago) that I was exercising very regularly. About once a day, sometimes multiple times, with rest breaks. Overall I was feeling fine....as in...not having any problem breathing. Then all of a sudden...I had to stop exercise...because I got a feeling as if I couldn't breathe (the next day....not when I was exercising). I thought it was because I was getting sick. Doctor acted as if it wasn't very concerning due to that. Well.....it's been several weeks now and I still have that feeling. My weight isn't that good (one of the reasons for increasing exercise)...which I don't understand that either. I.... as far as I know....NEVER lost any weight despite exercising for weeks (I was trying to monitor my calories too).
If my heart rate monitor is working right....my heart rate (sitting still) is in the 80s-90s. When I get up to walk across the room.....it jumped up last night to 134. Just wondering if that is concerning. Not sure what my heart rate goes to when I go upstairs....but I get extremely dizzy and out of breath when I reach the top. Sometimes feel as if I'm going to pass out.
Just for reference.....when I was exercising (right before I got that breathing problem/feeling...not really sure what to call it exactly).....my heart rate was about in the 60s-70s sitting still. It as far as I know, NEVER jumped over a 100 just taking a short walk acrss the room. I also didn't have the problem with the stairs.
Now...I don't know if it has to do with my age (28)...or not.....BUT I told the doctor about the feeling of trouble breathing. They just act like I should keep an eye on it. Wasn't really concerned. They told me it wouldn't hurt to lose some weight...which I know I should....but that really upset me because I was trying to. I just don't know why I got that problem. I really want to exercise....but even attempting to almost causes me to pass out now.
Any ideas what might have happened? I'm pretty sure that I wasn't overdoing it. I used to exercise a lot more even before my last exercise and didn't have any problems with this breathing issue. I'm not even sure if it is a breathing issue. It feels as if I have pressure in my throat/chest area. I showed the doctor. Supposedly I'm getting enough oxygen. I do have a cough that began when I began getting the issue....not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Please....does anyone have any ideas what it might be....or what I could do? Thank you!
