For roughly five weeks I've had what was diagnosed as bronchitis, but what I'm starting to suspect is probably whooping cough. For the past two days, my cough has been so intense that it's caused a constant, sharp pain on my shoulder, around the same area my friend felt pain when she had a cough so severe that it cracked her rib. It hasn't been around long, but the pain is moderate to severe depending on what I do, and constant. It hurts to lay down, sit down, walk, etc. I'm not sure if it's serious enough to warrant getting an x-ray, but I'm getting worried about the severity of the pain. What should I do?
