Can someone help me figure this out?

Postby Angelhearted12 » Mon Oct 15, 2012 10:41 am

My question is what could this disorder be? The person is 26. The symptoms are as follows?

Tries to assume someones identity

Emotional immaturity

Confides in kids 10 and under what I mean by confide is help with relationship problems including sexual.

Impulsivity

Mimics people actions and words

Pathological liar

Attention seeking

Can anyone please help if you can and thank you
It is easy enough to be friendly to one's friends. But to befriend the one who regards himself as your enemy is the quintessence of true religion. The other is mere business.

Depends what you mean by those descriptions.

Deliberately or automatically copies people? You could mean anything from mirroring here through to identity theft. lol

100% of PDs in one way or another? lol

Angelhearted12 wrote:Confides in kids 10 and under what I mean by confide is help with relationship problems including sexual.

Lack of understanding that children will be unlikely to help with or relate to these things ? lol

-Or perhaps the person sees them self more like a child than an adult. Otherwise they might simply be trying to force sexual topics on a child. Again you'd have to explain what you mean.

Angelhearted12 wrote:Impulsivity

Cluster B.

Angelhearted12 wrote:Mimics people actions and words

Deliberately? Exactly? Are they aware they're copying, are they doing it to deliberately make people angry or take the piss or are they doing it because for some reason they need to mimic?

Angelhearted12 wrote:Pathological liar

Fits a few things.

Angelhearted12 wrote:Attention seeking

Most prominent with NPD and HPD.

You might find there isn't an exact fit for any disorder, or you might find there is a mix/cross between more than one. Does it matter if you don't find an exact fit?

In what way do they try to assume their identity apart from copying them? Is it most for their own benefit, blurring the lines between fantasy and reality, or do they put on any sort of show, or do it to have an effect on the other person somehow?

Do they think they are a kid/want to be one?

What sort of times do they not know they're doing it, and what do you think they think at the time?

The victim is an ex of the person that is copying them the said person is hanging with the ex family and calling the parents mom and dad. The said person warned the victim to stay away from the victims own family that it is his family now

1. Who are you sexually/romantically involved with and how is it going?
2. Do you have many friends? Few friends? Are they close relationships or more superficial? DO you lose friends often and go through cycles?
3. Do you have a strong sense of what is right and wrong? explain.
4. What is your opinion of yourself?
