Does this mean anything?

Today I saw a mother pull down the pants of her 4 year old son in public and spank his bare bottom. At first I felt embarrassed and angry for the humiliation his mother had exacted on this boy. But then I realized I was sexually aroused by this. This really made me feel ashamed and worried. (I'm female). Does my arousal on witnessing this event mean something is wrong with me? (i.e., pedophilia, sado-masochism?)

I wouldn't worry about this too much, our sexuality starts to develop from the time we are children and it could be that seeing this brought back some memory or a similer experiance as a child that brought you some sort of genital pleasure. Many children touch their genitals as a way to comfort themselves and maybe you did this as a small child to calm yourself after being spanked.
Who knows! I think that because we live in a society where sexula thoughts about children are so demonised that just by thinking that you shouldn't think or feel something you end up doing so.
If you were a peadophile you would have consistant sexula thoughts about children. So please don't worry and chalk it up to a quirk of your psyche!
