So I keep a journal on my computer. My boyfriend knows my passwords to my stuff but I thought he knew my journal was private. Regardless, he opened it and was reading it. I wrote about my pedophilia and nepiophilia...we broke up because he freaked out and told me I "needed shot in the head" and that he couldn't do it anymore.

Sounds like an asshole. I find it difficult to believe that he was unaware he was breaching your privacy. That part aside, as a homosexual, he should understand that you didn't choose your attractions. He abandoned you thinking that you're the monster, but I'd twist it around and say that he's the monster for abandoning you.

but yes he sounds like a jerk. WHAT HE SHOULD have done is talk to you about it and have you explain they're just writings NOT confessions. True love is when your partner accepts all of you even your "perversions"

He is a royal asshole at this point. He refuses to talk to me. He refuses to accept me, and I am finding out he was a little more controlling than I thought but not in a traditional way. He confessed that hes been pinging my computer and email addresses and recording my IP address and stuff...that is creepy.

So I owe him like 1700 dollars because he helped me repair my truck a couple of times. He is now demanding I pay him back but I don't have that kind of money. He isn't going to tell anyone I am a pedophile but am I legally obligated to pay him back now?

You are under no legal obligation to pay him anything. What he is doing to you is blackmail, and that is illegal under US law. If you want, find a way to get things to work with him to pay him back. However, I would advise you that you should find a way to record his threats and use them against him if it ever gets that far. On top of the court costs, the possible fine, and the possible jail time, he may back down at the threat. Just be sure not to tell him that what he's doing is illegal before you have suitable evidence.
