Exactly. Another no true Scotsman fallacy (anyone who doesn't agree isn't properly heterosexual, therefore they're wrong) mixed with an ad hominem (anyone who doesn't agree is not in their right mind anyway).

What shocks me is not so much that people argue badly, but that people readily accept bad arguments. I'm not a fan of bad arguments. I hope that doesn't sound like some dogmatically intellectualist statement born of arrogance (as though the tools of reason render me or anyone who uses them superior in some way, which I don't believe); even well-educated, intelligent people argue badly.

This link has many good points and the author has many very true things to say........ NOT! what really gets to me is that a non-paraphile, someone who is the idea of "normal" and "moral" could actually buy into this dog crap! !
As a church go-er i have to say that faux- religious preachings like this simply hurt the rehabilitation and correction of pedophiles. think of every case you ever have heard of a sexual child abuse trial. i assume you all agree that when they get out views like this will only inhibit their rehabilitatiom.

It also distracts people from their own flaws and working on improving themselves. If all their energy is channelled into a prejudicial diatribe-driven programme of hatred towards a group set up to be the 'outsider', then it creates an uncritical cult of the righteous us and the monstrous them. This is the stuff of Nazi Germany, but without the polished propaganda and the masterful oratory.
