For the past two years I have been suffering from intrusive, repulsive images and paranoid thoughts characterized by the notion that I secretly want to have sexual relations with my brother. I read something about the nature of OCD and found that it described exactly what I was going through, and as the nature of the disease is one of doubt, I was wondering if somebody here is actually attracted to their sibling and knows that they are, or how you would tell whether or not this was a true desire or the result of a chemical imbalance causing OCD. I feel, empty, and broken. Like this incident has made everything in my life not matter. Help please... this has destroyed me and twisted my mind. Made me question everything about who and what I am.

Welcome deadgirlwalking,
I'm sorry to hear about the unwelcome thoughts you are struggling with. If your symptoms match those of OCD, then it sounds like a definite possibility. Can you see a doctor or therapist to get an assessment and some help?
You may also like to post or read existing topics in the
OCD forum.
No diagnosis, lots of opinions, and a bunch of issues that I haven't quite figured out.
