Hehe. Nice idea kouda. I like the concept. But just purely from the article you posted that could just as easily be altruism instead of pedophilia. Would you say the fictional Mr brownlow helped street boys like Oliver twist because he was pedophilic? Though I'm sure most people would rather associate that with the corrupt F#agin. I reckon ancient Greece would be a good place to find great minds who were also boylovers seeing as they had a system of pederasty.

Yes, it does say that, but also says he stayed with him for about 25 years, for the vast majority of which the boy/man would have been of marriageable age (a term I use because there was no age of consent in Da Vinci's day). So there's not only no evidence Da Vinci was into prepubescent boys, but the article doesn't suggest it either.

A lot of boylovers i know would hypotheticaly continue the relationship with the child into adulthood if the child wanted to as well. :p

Linked to above, altruism was just one example. He could have wanted to be a father figure to him? Or he reminded him of a brother, or cousin, or nephew who died when young and wanted to help him because of this loss. Or, considering that he was very learned, that it was a throw-back to the ancient pederastic approach to give him a better life? Or a Plato-esque attempt to reform a way-ward character into a philosopher, scientist and contemplative, as both Plato and Socrates had failed to do in their respective attempts. At the risk of being provocative, what’s wrong with that? As both the descriptions of Salai and Oliver Twist are examples of, there has been, and still is, a generic ideal of what a classically “adorable” boy looks like. That’s not specifically pedophilic, surely, but a general cultural perception?
