I have the same attraction -- like the others here, I have no intentions to act on it in real life. It is nice to see that others have the same feelings though -- the only outlet I have is on the rare occasions I can chat with a female online who is open-minded to it or has a similar attraction.

I did like the mention of the diaper isle earlier in the thread. Where else can you go out in public and be surrounded by pictures of topless models?

I find it hilarious that people who do n out t understand our attraction to babies and newborns just say why not be attracted to adults instead like it's a choice that we can just turn off and on like a light switch. I mean that would be amazing if one day I woke up and wasn't aroused sexually by children anymore. I used to hate myself for being able to get sexually aroused by young babies but then realized this is who and what I am and why hate myself for that fact about myself.

I came across this thread just now and I wanted to say this.

I am so proud of all of you. I don't know you, but you lift my spirits. I am not a pedophile, but I have long supported your struggles. You are all wonderful people, and I sympathize with you deeply. Nobody knows what you go through the way your fellow people do, but I can just imagine a hint of what it might be like, and I don't envy it.

Any chance I can, I have always fought in your favor, and I have fought with my own father to have your voices heard. I will not stand for people around me to make light of what you go through. And I wanted you guys to know that, because I couldn't imagine how it would feel to go through this and to think that maybe there aren't people out there fighting for you.

One day, people are going to listen. And I hope they feel the guilt of waiting so long.

Thanks. I mean it. The random words of encouragement do help.

I am really curious that if pedophile is accepted in mainstream society one day in the future if the aspect of nepiophiles would be accepted as well. I mean some of us are attracted sexually to infants and newborns and get greatly aroused by them and I just don't see that ever being accepted within society if they do eventually accept Pedophilia. God it would be awesome if I was accepted for my sexual arousal over babies and toddlers, that would be great.

"Ever" is a long time, Howard.

Just because the world currently sucks in certain ways doesn't mean it will always suck in those exact same ways, or even that it has always sucked in those particular ways.

The world is more mutable than you think, even if it happens on timescales that mean we're unlikely to benefit personally.

I can't imagine how a typical pro-contact argument could work for small children (I have a hard time to see these arguments working at all,but that's another cup of coffee).

There are pro-contact arguments outside the domain of informed consent. I tend to work on the informed consent standard due to it being really low hanging fruit in terms of identifying the hypocracy of the current system.

It's not hard to recognize that we accept that things can be done to extremely young children without their fully informed consent, including things that put them at risk. We as a society accept the idea that you can toss babies in the air just to make them happy, after all.

Simple assent is considered sufficient so long as the party that is capable of fully understanding the situation does a reasonable risk assessment and concludes that the risk of permanent consequences is sufficiently small that the assent can be reasonably accepted.

This does require that the assessment be reasonable, and there's a lot of grey area and room for fuzzy interpretations, unlike hard and fast rules like my proposed RMSC, but it does reflect how people tend to interact with one another anyway.
